2019 Beef Cattle Management Series

Join us for an educational series designed to help you develop and improve your beef cattle management skills. The 2019 Beef Cattle Management Series will consist of three classes (one per month), two hours each, starting in September and ending in November. Topics will include cattle handling facility design, cattle behavior, low-stress handling, pasture and grazing management, biosecurity, common health problems, body condition scoring, nutrition, and minerals.

September 30: Cattle Handling Facilities – Location: Alamance County Cattlemen’s Facility, 7351 Beale Rd. Snow Camp, NC

October 22: Pasture & Grazing Management – Location: N.C. Cooperative Extension, Alamance County Center, 209-C N. Graham-Hopedale Rd. Burlington, NC

November 26: Herd Health & Nutrition – Location: N.C. Cooperative Extension, Alamance County Center, 209-C N. Graham-Hopedale Rd. Burlington, NC

Time: 6–8 p.m.
