The Caldwell Agriculture Fair is a community event held in September each year. Although Extension and 4-H are not in charge of the event, the organizations are well-represented by youth and volunteers in the exhibit hall and at livestock shows.

Youth Livestock Shows

Nine youth from the Livestock 4-H Club showed at the Caldwell Agriculture Fair.

On Wednesday, September 8, 2021, seven pigs were shown by five youth.
On Thursday, 47 head of sheep were shown yesterday by 29 youth. In addition, four youth participated in the special class. Four dairy goats were shown by four youth, and six boer goats were shown by five youth. Removing duplicates, 39 youth participated in Thursday’s livestock shows.
On Friday, 25 heifers were shown by 20 youth.

Exhibit Hall

Forty-nine youth entries were entered at the Caldwell Agriculture Fair. A lot of creativity, talent, and skill was showcased through the exhibits.

We also were excited to see the Baton Elementary Bear Paws 4-H Club’s booth at the fair.

At the fair, youth exhibited works of art including paintings, drawings and ones digitally produced.
