Description:

All Persons planning to apply Dicamba (Engenia, FeXapan, or XtendiMax) to Xtend Soybeans or 2,4-D (Enlist Duo or Enlist One) to Enlist Soybeans must complete the mandatory training Auxin Herbicides- Best Management Practices prior to use in 2018. This requirement applies to all applicators (including the man/woman operating the sprayer) even if training was completed in 2017.

Description: NC Cooperative Extension offers NC Safe Plates for all those who work in the food service industry. The course helps food establishments meet the NC requirement of having at least one supervisor certified as a food protection manager, per the FDA Food Code 2013. NC Safe Plates is taught through case studies, storytelling, activities, and discussion. This class is interactive and encourages participants to engage with the material.

This course is designed for food employees who are seeking food protection manager certification. Certification is based on passing the ANSI-approved exam from the National Registry for Food Safety Professionals. Certification is accepted throughout the US for 5 years from date of exam, and includes a certificate to be displayed in the workplace as well as a wallet card.

Class dates: June 11 and 12, 9am until 4pm each day with one-hour lunch break each day
Test date: June 13 9am - 12noon

Registration Fee $125
Cost includes instruction, Safe Plates book & slides, 3 practice exams, and final exam

Registration due by May 25 via mail, email, or online (link below). Payment due by first day of class, checks payable to Alamance County.
