The North Carolina Association of County Commissioners invites youth development organizations to attend two days of their annual conference to learn more about county government, making change in your community, and to network with elected officials.

YouthVoice provides county commissioners with the opportunity to connect with the next generation of leaders. The event brings together Youth Delegates from 4-H Youth Development clubs and Boys and Girls Clubs of North Carolina.

Each year, only one teen is selected to represent their county at YouthVoice. This year, Meriwether Lewis was selected as Alamance County's delegate. Meriwether had to attend a County Commissioners meeting, speak to them about her involvement in 4-H and the importance of such youth development organizations.
