The "no-fee" period for getting your soil analyzed at the NCDA&CS agronomy lab ends at 5 p.m. on November 25. You must have your soil to the lab by that time in order to avoid paying a fee for the service.
The lab will accept samples all year long, but ones arriving during peak season -- 11/26/2025 through 3/31/2026 -- will cost $4 each to be analyzed.
If you are an Alamance County resident and are accustomed to bringing your soil to the Extension office for someone to deliver it to the lab for you during the no-fee period, please be advised that you must get your soil to the Extension office by our deadline of 5 p.m. November 19 to take advantage of the last delivery of the season.
If you miss our deadline, you may still deliver your samples to the lab, or send them via USPS or other delivery service.
