Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP)

Array of produce at farmers market available for purchase using SFMNP vouchers.

Southern Alamance Family Empowerment (SAFE) and the NC Cooperative Extension are registering eligible Alamance County seniors (aged 60+) for the Farmers Market Nutrition Program. Qualified participants will receive a book of vouchers worth $50 to spend with participating farmers from July 1 through September 30, 2026. These vouchers can be used to buy fresh fruits, vegetables, fresh-cut herbs, and honey.

Income eligibility guidelines

Household of 1: Max $2,461 / month

Household of 2: Max $3,337 / month

Farm Fresh in Graham, 303 N. Main St., Graham, NC 27253 | Wednesdays, 3-6 p.m.

Elon Farmers Market, 271 N. Williamson Ave., Elon, NC 27244 | Thursdays, 3-6 p.m.
