Earlier this year, N.C. Cooperative Extension, Alamance County Center received a grant from NC AgVentures along with funds from Alamance County Farm Bureau to purchase equipment that could be rented out.
The equipment available includes portable livestock scales and a fire ant bait spreader. The scale package includes a platform (as seen in the photo), two load bars, and a digital weighing unit. The spreader can be mounted on a tractor or four-wheeler rear rack and is for fire ant bait use only. Equipment is for in-county rental use only (Alamance County).
