Job Description My role is to educate consumers on how to live healthy lifestyles through food-based programs. I encourage healthy living through nutrition classes and demonstrations, food preservation classes, and food safety programs for all ages. I serve as a resource for community members who want to live healthily on a budget by working with markets, food pantries, businesses, not-for-profit organizations, government agencies, and other community partners. I also serve as the local foods coordinator for our county and work on projects aimed at promoting and increasing the consumption of local foods.
