4-H Youth Development - Alamance County Center

Welcome!

We are excited that you have chosen to learn more about one of our nation's greatest youth development programs.

Over 6 million young people are already involved across the nation and we look forward to welcoming more!

There are a wide variety of opportunities that await you. From community service activities, after-school programs, competitions, livestock shows, and even camps and conferences, you will have extraordinary opportunities to grow and develop as a leader. Learn about topics that interest you, from robotics and computer programming to food and nutrition. You can be as involved as you would like to be. Staff at the N.C. Cooperative Extension Center in Alamance County, along with your club leaders, are available to point you in the direction you choose.

About 4-H

4-H is a youth development program administered by North Carolina Cooperative Extension for youth between the ages of 5 and 18. Head, Heart, Hands and Health, are the four H's in 4-H and they are the four values members develop through fun and engaging programs.

Enroll

The first step to becoming an active 4-H member or volunteer during this year’s 4-H program is to enroll. North Carolina 4-H uses an online system, called 4-HOnline 2.0, to manage 4-H memberships, clubs, projects, activities, and communications.

SPROUT Scholarships

SPROUT Scholarships, created by private donation from a 4-H alumna, provide funds for young people to attend residential camp with Alamance 4-H and to support teens wanting to pursue leadership opportunities within 4-H.
