Summertime is right around the corner and we are excited to offer six different programs this year. Registration for all programs will be conducted through 4-H Online. Participating youth are required to be enrolled as a member in the 4-H Online system in order to be eligible to participate in any summer programs. Programs are age and/or grade specific. Please make sure the camp you are interested in is appropriate for your child’s age/grade.

NEW THIS YEAR: Participation in all programs will be on a first come first serve basis. To reserve your spot, a $10 non-refundable deposit is required. Remaining balances are due by June 9, 2023. Once registration has filled, a waiting list will be created. Youth will be pulled from the waiting list if a spot becomes available. If a deposit is not received, participation is not guaranteed. Deposits will be refunded only if your child does not make it off the waiting list. No refunds will be given with 10 days of the program.

Transportation will be provided for all programs. Drop off/ pickup location for all programs is our County Extension Center, 209-C N Graham Hopedale Rd Burlington, NC 27217.

ALAMANCE 4-H SUMMER CAMPS

Ag Camp

June 12-14
8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Ages 9-18
Cost: $30 Learn all about the different areas of agriculture including animals, crops, and meat production while exploring local farms.

Healthy Living Camp

July 11-14 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Grades 3-5
Cost: $40
Learn about kitchen safety, being active, nutrition, and visit local farms.

4-H Investigates

June 27-29
Ages 9-14 Cost: $40
8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Become detectives to solve a mock murder mystery! Solve this crime by exploring various techniques including blood typing, forensic anthropology, fingerprint analysis, and DNA evidence.

Master Gardener Camp

July 18-19 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Grade K-5 1-4 p.m. for Grades 6-12
Cost: $15 Come play in the dirt and learn all about soils and plants. Older youth will learn about sustainable gardening and composting!

Life Skills

August 8-10
8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Ages 9-18 Cost: $40
Come learn what skills are needed to be successful in life including sewing, cooking, laundry, car care, pets, and more!

Environmental Exploration

August 15-17 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Ages 9-18
Cost: $30
Explore our environment while learning about water, plants, trees, and wildlife. Youth will also get hunter safety certified!

Full STEAM Ahead

June 19, August 23
9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Ages 5-10 Learn basic block coding, play with robots, learn teamwork and problem solving.
