Collapse ▲Spring is just around the corner, and with spring comes an abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables!
Have you ever wanted to learn how to preserve your abundance? Just interested in food preservation as a hobby? Either way, we’ve got you covered.
Starting in April, N.C. Cooperative Extension will have a variety of home food preservation classes available to you.
A group of family and consumer science agents from our region have teamed up to offer a series of free online home food preservation classes covering the following topics: Introduction to Canning, Water Bath Canning, Pressure Canning, Freezing, Sweet Spreads, and Fermentation. See details below.
In the time frames between these online classes, Family and Consumer Science agents Elisa Phillips (Alamance County) and Tara Gregory (Chatham County) will be offering hands-on workshops for beginners in both Alamance and Chatham counties which correspond to the preceding online class.
